The new "added you to circles" notification. |
Google+ has made an update to the notifications that occur when people have added you to their circles. It makes it easier to tell how many people have very recently added you to circles.
Whereas previously the notifications were a running list where the newest people to add you were indistinguishable from those who had added you less recently, the new update keeps brand-new circlers in white while showing those already viewed in gray. The number in the notification ("2 people have added you to circles") also reflects only these most recent followers.
The update also includes some new functionality - users can add people back directly from the notification pane, or select to hide the notification with the "X" button, which also gives an option to block the user.
The "Other People" pane, which was previously much longer and presumably shows people that have been determined to be less relevant than you, now has a dismiss button, which hides those new circlers from appearing in the notification.
On the whole, this makes the circles notification easier to manage and easier to understand. Thanks +Google+, and thanks to +Nure Alam Masud for spotting it in our community!
