Jurassic World is now promoting Google Photos in a new section on its official website.

The page showcases the new search capabilities of +Google Photos by showing places and things found in Jurassic World. They certainly spared no expense.

This is a great partnership and hopefully a way to introduce many more users to some of the great features offered by Google Photos. If you've been under a rock in the past couple of weeks, make sure to catch up by reading about the revamped and rebranded Photos here.

#WhatDoYouDoWednesday will introduce a member of the Google+ team every week

Every Wednesday, a member of the Google+ development team will be featured on the official Google+ page as part of a new series aimed at bridging both ends of the social network.

The first Googler in the spotlight was +Sarah Koo, whose LinkedIn profile describes her as a Business Analyst at Google and said in the post’s brief Q&A that she works on eliminating spam in Google+.

In total, she was asked to discuss her past and present work at Google, her favorite Google+ page, and a fun fact about herself. It’s probably safe to assume that upcoming features will have a similar format and length.

Today Google+ launched a new educational tool on Google+ called Connected Classrooms that enables students around the world to take part in virtual field trips through Google+ Hangouts. It will work by allowing students to visit places they would otherwise never be able to explore.

Social media has become a way for "the everyman" to connect with thought leaders, politicians, and celebrities. With Hangouts on Air and Communities, Google+ is becoming the go-to for medium for these people. Next week, that continues with Jay Bilas of ESPN.

For quite some time the topic of paying college athletes has been discussed in academia. A few months ago Google+ started a "conversations" program in which thought leaders in an industry use Google+ communities to discuss very important topics. Google+ employees often reach out to the influencers on the social platform to get help within a specific community. I created the college football and college basketball communities the day of the communities release. Since then they have grown to become the largest communities in their respective niches. Google wanted to leverage these diehard fans by giving them a great topic to talk about which is, "Should college athletes be paid?"

With Google retiring Latitude last month, Google+ Locations is now the new way to share your location. With Pinpoint and City Location sharing, we want to know who you share your location with?

In has been a busy couple of weeks for Google regarding location sharing. Back in July, Google retired Latitude in favor of Google+ Locations. This move to Google+ Locations is a trend we have been seeing for the past year, as Google pushes its social network into more of its products.

This week, the Google+ team have introduced some welcome changes to the way your location is shared with your circles. Users can now share either their pinpoint location, which is a more exact location such as a street address, and their city location. Both location options can be shared with individuals, your circles, the public or just yourself.

Congratulate the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge on the Royal Baby through Google+

The last couple days, many have been following the movements of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in hopes that the Royal Baby will be coming soon. Today at 4:24 BST a new prince was born in London. Thanks to +Clarence House and +Google UK, you can congratulate them through Google+!

Google+ is full of interesting people doing extraordinary things. Carter Gibson, founder of the LittleBigFund, shared his success story as a Google+ celebrity trying to make a difference.

You could say that +Carter Gibson is just an ordinary guy. He didn't join Google+ as an entrepreneur connecting with a new demographic or as a celebrity appealing to his fans; he signed up at the beginning of the field trial in July 2011 while blogging as an Ad Council intern. Even if it seemed a bit lonely at first, he was attracted to Google+ for its promise of a social network built around sharing one’s own interests rather than appealing to others’. So far his Google+ story sounds pretty much exactly like everyone else’s, right? Luckily, I was able to have a chat with him via a Google+ Hangout to see just what made his experience so unique.
