You can now share photos that you have uploaded to Google+ Local, thanks to an update that is being rolled out today.
In the first official Google+ update announcement of the year, users are now able to share photos to their circles after uploading to Google+ Local, Google's nearby business and POI recommendation tool built into Google+ and Google Maps.
The announcement was made over on the official +Google+ page, just minutes ago:

Just upload your photos, and click “Publish.” Add a comment, select who you want to share with, and see what people say about your pics!"
Perfect for Foodies
I can imagine "foodies" and other Local reviewers using the new sharing feature regularly, and may come in handy when sharing to communities focused around fine dining.
