Google Photos v1.3 for Android Introduces Photo Reordering and More

With Google Photos v1.3 for Android, it is now possible to reorder photos in an album, view albums shared with you, and adjust the length of a video clip in a movie.

Google Photos has seen a steady stream of updates since the official split from Google+ at I/O earlier this year.

The latest release sees improved organising tools for your snaps, including a way to reorder photos in albums which hasn't been implemented in the most simplest way. Instead of holding your finger down on a photo and simply moving it around, you have to tap the pencil icon on the action bar.
Reordering photos in an album isn't fun
Other highlights from this release include seeing albums shared with you, and a new trimming tool for video clips. There are a couple of other tweaks not mentioned in the official changelog, like a new toggle for showing certain types assistant creation cards.

Changelog

  • Google Photos can recognize collages/animations that Google Camera creates
  • You are now able to login to Google Photos as a Plus Page
  • You can reorder content in albums
