[Sneak Peek] The Google+ Photo App for Chrome OS

We take a sneak peek at the new Google+ Photos app now shipping with the Chromebook Pixel and soon to be available for the rest of the Chromebook family.

The main reason people should buy a Chromebook? Google+ integration. And as time goes on, we'll be seeing more and more of packaged apps such as Google+ Photos which will make Chromebooks a Plusser's dream.

Developer +François Beaufort has shared screenshots of the new Google+-integrated photos app along with some information and thoughts:
Today, I'm excited to share with you some screenshots of the upcoming Google+ Photos App (aka Pulsar).
This Chrome App made by Google is powered by Native Client technology and is giving you the ability to upload and share photos from Google Chrome.
Two key features in my opinion are:
- Automatic selection of the best shots
- Automatic import of photos when I plug in a camera or memory card
This App definitely showcases what looks like a full-fledged Chrome App...

We've cherry picked them from his post here, and as usual, just click to enlarge.

It looks very pretty, but we won't know all the details until we get our hands on it, but when we do, we'll post our hands-on here. Stay tuned!

As we've said, the Google+ Photos app is only currently available on the Chromebook Pixel, but should be ready to install on other Chromebooks in a few weeks time.

Of course, this will be the first of many Google+-integrated packaged app for Chromebooks, does knowing this tempt you into buying one?
