[Update] Download Photos Straight From the Instant Upload Bar

A new update to Google+ rolling out today allows users to download photos uploaded from their devices to the Instant Upload folder from the desktop.

Google are making it incredibly easy to share photos took from your phone or tablet's camera all the time, but with today's update, you can now download photos straight from your Instant Upload folder, if you wish.
Just hit the new download button
Googler +Yevgeny Nyden announced the change just a few minutes ago in his post on Google+, with a short and sweet message:
"A useful addition to the G+ Photos Instant Upload page! Now you can download your photos directly from the G+ Photos Instant Upload page. Just select the photos you want and hit the Download button. Enjoy!" - +Yevgeny Nyden

How?

To download photos from your Instant Upload folder, all you need to do is go to http://plus.google.com/photos (or just click the Photos icon on the navigation ribbon), this will take you to your Instant Upload folder by default. Then, select as many photos as you like by checking the boxes next to the date, or under each photo and then click "Download" that will be displayed on the grey bar at the top of the page. Photos will be downloaded in a compressed file format (ZIP folders), just extract and enjoy!

Now, downloading photos is super easy, how it should be. This will be a welcome change for those who like to manually back up their photos onto a hard drive (just in case), or to do some offline image tweaking before re-uploading and sharing.

Will you be making use of the download button?
