Communities is one of Google+'s most used features, so it makes sense that a Communities card on your profile listing the ones you've joined is rolling out as I type.
The new card will be displayed on the Posts and About tab on your profile, and will show all public communities that you've joined (if enabled of course). One thing to note is that private communities will only be displayed to those who are also a part of those communities.
By default, no joined communities will show. To change that, hit the Edit button |
To select which communities you'd like to display to the world, just click the edit button on the new Communities section when on the About or Posts tab on the desktop or the mobile app and select the desired communities from the drop-down button.
Either share all the communities you belong to or just a couple, it's up to you |
Although small, it is a welcome new feature for many and helps put Google+ Communities in the spotlight (where it is rightly deserved) and helps the people visiting your profile discover new social hubs. Why? Because sharing is caring.
