[Download] Google+ for Android v4.0.1

Google+ for Android version 4.0.1 is rolling out to users over the course of the next few days, luckily we have the APK for you to install right now.

It seems that the new notification improvements will only appear in the app when they have rolled out to your account, so if you're not seeing the new-look notifications tray (and fancy new bell icon) on the desktop, you won't see it in the app. Said notification improvements are rolling out over the course of the next few days so keep an eye out and let us know what you think when you get them.

Changelog

Here's the official "What's new" from Google Play:
  • Stream content automatically updates when the app is started
  • Ability to delete photos from Photos view
  • Additional bug fixes and performance improvements
We've noticed some undocumented changes:
  • Improved slide-out navigation drawer which adheres to the updated Android design guidelines
  • Now shows how many people have reshared a post
