If you're like me, you now only take photos to get that "auto awesome" shot. Right? Well, even if you're not that extreme, the new version of the Google+ app will now send you a notification when the happy gift is placed in your gallery. Thanks, Google!

As Googler Virgil Dobjanschi points out in his Google+ post, a new version of the Google+ app is rolling out along with a change to notifications for Auto Awesome pictures. There is going to be a new notification when Auto Awesome pictures such as animations, panoramas, or filmstrips are created.

Before, you had to do some scrounging around in your photo library to find the shiny GIF to share. Now you'll be given the heads up! As a bonus, there are a few tips and tricks below on making the best of this update.
Virgil included a great tip in his post was how to find your awesome’d photos:
"Search for #autoawesome in your photos (go to your library in G+ or to your circles and select Photos). You can also use this handy link as a shortcut: plus.google.com/photos/search/%23autoawesome"
Bonus trick:
Want to get get the best Auto Awesome shots? Use the burst mode when taking pictures. If your camera doesn't have that option, download an app that does.

Remember you can always change your auto enhancement, notifications, etc. in your settings page, but why would you want to turn off the Auto Awesome goodness?

In addition to this new feature across Google+, Virgil says version 4.1.1 of the Google+ app for Android will also include a few bug fixes and performance improvements. It's rolling out now so check the Google Play store to see if you have the update!
