Google+ +1 and Share buttons receive a revamped look

If there's one consistent with Google+, it is that it's always being updated and improved. That continues with Google's social media network's +1 and share buttons receiving revamped looks.

In order to match the style of new Google+ Page follow buttons/badges and Communities badges updated in June 29th, the Google+ team has updated the share and +1 buttons. Check out the new +1 button to the left of this article. Feel free to click +1 while you're at it. ;)

In addition to becoming consistent with the Follow and Badge widgets, the new buttons also scale up really well. All Google+ buttons are now using Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) to render the iconographic and Roboto font for the text. They also include Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL) animations.

The changes will make it so that they appear better on newer computers, phones, and tablets with a higher number of dots per inch (dpi). However, +Paul Lindner, Staff Software Engineer at Google, made sure to point out in his announcement post that the results may vary on Internet Explorer 8 and Android Gingerbread browsers.

What do you think of the new look?
