Google appears to be rolling out a new look to the follow and circle buttons across the Google+ mobile app for Android.
Community members in our Google+ Updates community have been
reporting a new design for the circle-related buttons for a few weeks now, but it appears that the changes are rolling out to more people as of today.
The Google+ design team seem to be banishing blue from their favourite colours list for buttons within the app, giving them a lick of red paint instead. One of the most obvious design changes involves the follow buttons; Swapping the colour from white to a more in-your-face red, while adding an icon which helps make what the button does a little clearer for new users.

The circle picker button found on profiles and pages has gone from blue to white with a red circle button. If you're viewing a profile or page but haven't added them to a circle, the button will appear red for consistency with the new-look 'follow' button. What hasn't changed is the +1 button on Pages; however, we expect this to eventually be removed as it has been
on the desktop version.

The change is being rolled out server-side, meaning you won't need to update your app in order to see the new style buttons.
I'm currently running a poll in our "Google+ Updates" community to see just many users are seeing the changes. If you'd like to take part, just +1 the appropriate comment
on my post. Right now and according to the poll, more people are seeing the update with a small number of people still seeing the old 'smurf blue' look.
What do you think of the style of the new buttons? Love them or hate them, we'd like to read your thoughts in the comments!
