Adding and Editing Geotags to Your Photos Just Got Easier

In a recent update to Google+ Photos, editing and removing the location data stored in your photos has gotten easier, with a new tool added to the lightbox.

You could always batch make visible/invisible when mass editing photo albums on Google+, but as far as I'm aware, you couldn't manually add and edit the geotagging data. Thankfully, a recent update changes this, adding a handy tool for those who'd like to do show off where they took that special holiday snap.

+Andrew Lee, who is a software engineer on the Google+ Photos team, announced the update in his post, where he explains how to access the new feature.
Look for the new tool under Photo Details in the lightbox
If you want to try it out for yourself, click on any of your photos and click on "Photo Details" on the right column in the lightbox. You'll then find a map where you can choose to edit the location data or remove it altogether.

When clicking on edit, a big map is displayed on the screen, with a search box on top for quickly searching and adding the location. You can then click on the red placemark on the map and drop it anywhere (it's up to you how specific you'd like the location to be). Once you're done, hit save.
As always, you can change the settings for geotagging upon creation of new albums via http://google.com/settings/plus.

Will you be making use of the new feature?
