The announcement, which can be found here explains that this will be rolling out slowly starting with a few music and movie apps such as +Deezer, +Fandango, +Flixster, +Slacker, +Songza, +SoundCloud, and +TuneIn.
The activity shown will be based on the most popular content that is being accessed. However, in the future this could branch out into more things - such as showing the high-scores for a game.
