It is now possible to link your Google+ page identity to your YouTube channel, adding more functionality and improved channel managing.This has been long requested by page owners, and now the wait is over. Of course, there are several clear benefits to linking a Google+ page with a YouTube channel, including:
- Add multiple managers to your channel
- Choose or rename your channel and page
- Improved video sharing to YouTube, Google+ and more
- Hangouts On Air will be linked properly
- YouTube tab on your page
Linking your channel to a Google+ page is still a work in progress, and is currently in beta testing, so be warned. If you're happy to go ahead, the YouTube Creator Blog has a great quick step-by-step tutorial on getting started with the process.
We'll have to wait and see if this attracts more channel owners to take the red pill, but it is an attractive option as the linking process unlocks the new features mentioned above.
