Birthday Celebration For 2 Year Old Google+

Today marks 2 years since the beta launch of Google+ in 2011. On Google+, there's a bit of celebrating and reminiscing going on.

To celebrate the special occasion of Google+'s 2 year birthday, the Google+ team has made a few changes. The Google+ logo has been updated. Also, Mr. Jingles, Google+'s notification mascot, has received a bit of a makeover with a birthday hat. Make sure you click on him to watch him dance with colorful confetti falling from the sky.

The Google+ team is also celebrating by thanking all of the Google+ users that continue to use Google's social media network 2 years later. +Vic Gundotra shared a post thanking the users:
Two years ago we started the Google+ project. We're still young, with lots of growing left to do, but today we wanted to stop (for just a second) and say thanks. It's your support, your feedback, and your enthusiasm that make Google+ so awesome. So let's keep building something to love. Together.
Accompanying his post, Vic shared pictures of a Thank You card that the Google+ team has signed as for Google+ users as a sign of their gratification.

Part of why many users (including this one) enjoy Google+ is the team that works on it. It's very obvious that they do care about the user. You won't see many other companies showing this sign of gratification, especially not Facebook. I think I speak on behalf of most Google+ users when I say, "Happy birthday, Google+! Thank you for two great years, and here's to many, many more!"
