[Update] Edit date/time metadata with Google+ Photos

It is now possible to edit the date and time for individual photos on Google+.

Every now and then, a massive game-changing feature is announced to much excitement from the Google+ community. Unfortunately, today is not one of those days, but instead we are gifted with a little tweak to Photos.

By heading to the photo details pane in the lightbox, you'll notice that the data next to "Date taken" is now clickable. When pressed, you are greeted with a popup in which you can edit the date and time stored in the photo's metadata.
You can also pick a time zone
For some reason or another, it is not possible to input a date earlier than the year 2000, which is a bit of a bummer if you're scanning in photos taken prior to the millennium (Thanks for the tip +Sean S!).

Yes, it isn't the most exciting change to grace Google+ in recent weeks but it adds extra functionality and those in the photography community may find it useful for adding and editing metadata to photos.

Is this the small update you've been waiting for?
