This means no more huddling around your phone or tablet when you're trying to show your family your recent snaps, because with a tap of the cast button, the content will be beamed straight to the big screen. And if you don't have a Chromecast, well now is the right time to head out and grab one.
"Starting today, you can transform your TV into a photo album and cast Google+ photos and videos. Just look for the cast button in the Photos view of Google+ for Android and iOS." - +Brad Foreman (Google)
Admittedly, this isn't exactly new to users of third-party casting apps like AllCast, but the launch marks the first time you can cast your photos and videos via Google+ officially.
Chromecast support is rolling out to the Google+ app for Android and iOS (no app update required) and the web over the course of the day, so check back a little later if the cast button hasn't appeared in the photo view just yet.
Will you be casting your photos?
