[New Feature] Google+ Profiles & Pages can now pin posts

It's a good day for Google+ users: Posts already shared can be pinned, sending the content straight to the top of your profile or +Page.

If you want to ensure a select post is seen by your audience first, your best bet is to pin it. The post pinning feature is rolling out to Google+ Profiles as well as Pages starting today.

The feature comes just short of 9 months after the pinning functionality made its debut on Google+ Communities to huge celebration across Community owners and moderators. And as we already know with Communities, content will only be shown at the top of your profile or Page and will display as a normal post in the generic 'catch all' stream. Note that only 1 post can be pinned at a time, for obvious reasons.

Although the pinning functionality itself has yet to roll out on the Google+ Android app at time of posting, viewing pinned posts works as intended.
Pinned posts are already visible on the Google+ Android app

I'm interested to see how quickly users and +Page moderators take to the new feature. We already have!
